Bob Ooten        

My 30 years of board experiences include President and Treasurer of the local and state California Water Environment Association, President of Southern California Energy Coalition, and treasurer of a homeowners association combined with forty years of experience in the water field doing water resources planning, design, and contract administration and as a Sanitary Engineer and water systems manager, I am well qualified to represent you. 

With a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, I have spent the past 23 years operating water purification systems for 2,300,000 people in Orange County. 

Retiring in 2005, I will energetically take time to study District plans, policies, budgets, and proposals to make good choices for our community. 

I am committed, proactive, ethical, and a team player who will work hard to protect our environment and provide safe and low cost sanitary services. My wife and I are 20-year Costa Mesa residents. Our daughter is an experienced Water Resources Engineer serving as a Water Board Director.
