Occupation: Sanitary Engineer

The Costa Mesa Sanitary District purpose is to sewer and collect trash from the city.

I have 41 years experience and a master’s degree in sanitary engineering. I currently serve on the County Waste Management Commission which oversees countywide trash disposal.

My professional career involved planning, designing, and constructing sewer and water systems. For the past 25 years, I lead Orange County Sanitation District Operations and Maintenance Department. I conducted sanitary technology research and developed cost efficiency programs saving over 22 million dollars.

Upon retirement, I received leadership recognition from the city, county, state, and Governor. I served as president of the 7000 member sanitary/wastewater California Water Environment Association.

 A Costa Mesa resident since 1984, I actively volunteer in the Senior Center , Friends of the Library Book Store, Friends of Fairview Park, and Lions Club.

I would appreciate your vote. My education and experience in sanitary engineering and trash collection is vital to the District and would serve you well providing cost effective environmental protection.
